About FastTrack GP
Editorial policy
Every clinical page on FastTrack GP is written, reviewed, and dated by a UK GMC-registered doctor. This page explains how.
Who writes our content
Clinical content is written by UK GMC-registered GPs who currently practise at a FastTrack or Mayfield Clinic location. Each page carries the author's name, qualifications, and GMC registration number. When a non-clinician (for example, a health writer) drafts content, a named GP reviews and signs it off before publication.
How we review content
Every clinical page is reviewed by a named GMC-registered reviewer at publication and re-reviewed at least every 12 months, or sooner when UK guidance changes. The reviewer's name, qualifications, and the date of last review appear on each page.
Sources we cite
We cite primary UK clinical sources, in this order of preference:
- NICE Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS)
- NHS.uk patient information
- Royal College guidelines (RCGP, RCOG, etc.)
- Peer-reviewed research, where clinical guidance is in flux
We do not cite third-party wellness sites, press releases, or sources behind paywalls that patients can't verify themselves.
Corrections and feedback
If you spot an error on any page, email editorial@fasttrackgp.co.uk. We acknowledge corrections within two working days and publish an update note at the foot of any page that has been materially changed.
What we don't do
- We don't name prescription-only medicines (POMs) on public pages.
- We don't publish promotional content for specific drugs, devices, or brands.
- We don't use AI-generated text on clinical pages without a named GP reviewing and signing it.
Regulatory oversight
FastTrack GP is part of Mayfield Clinic, a Care Quality Commission (CQC)-registered independent healthcare provider. All clinicians are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and practise in line with Good Medical Practice.
